So glad this is finally getting the attention it deserves. The amount of individuals involved and the fact that NONE of them stepped up is disgusting. All these years later and they’re still not taking responsibility for their actions. Gross. Impatiently waiting for part 2. Thank you for publishing!

Thank you for reading and sharing. Whistleblowers are flooding our email with similar reports from multiple other districts. Oklahoma has a coaching problem and a systemic lack of accountability when children are harmed within public ed.

You need to start and circulate a petition for a state grand jury capable of making charges, including removal of officials Okla. Stat. tit. 30 § 101-108 (1989) creating a State Grand Jury

Wild, I went to Little Axe from elementary school all the way up until I had to move when my mom died the summer of my junior year in 2008. I had heard a lot of rumors about this but nothing substantiated. I was sent this today and read through all of it. Excited to read part two.

Thanks for reading and very sorry to hear about your loss during your high school years. Not surprising there were rumors. It's surprising no action was taken by those in charge. This group of women is committed to protecting the girls of today. Stay tuned.

This is outstanding journalism. The documentation overwhelming and the victim statements heartbreaking. Other media, law enforcement and school officials, local and state, must hold the abusers accountable. It must stop now. If the education establishment will not stop evil, the people must.

If the people are to have a say, and the powers that be in the establishment will not act, its possible to collect a small number of signatures and demand a state grand jury, capable of charging any crime Okla. Stat. tit. 30 § 101-108 (1989) creating a State Grand Jury

Agreed. Parents assume school administrators are reporting crimes against students perpetrated by anyone, including school staff. Sadly, it is frequently not the case. Step down and save us a scandal...we'll let you keep teaching/coaching elsewhere.
