Hofmeister Buys a New Catchphrase from Biden's Campaign Machine
How to Steal a State: Midterm Minute - October 11, 2022
The V1SUT Vantage recently wrapped up the How to Steal a State series, but the antics of the Oklahoma midterm elections continue to warrant coverage.
Within this brief Midterm Minute:
Hofmeister buys another catchphrase from Joe Biden’s consultants.
The PAC Lady delivers the new magic words straight to voter mailboxes.
“Partisan Extremism” - The Newest Boogeyman
It appears Oklahoma gubernatorial candidate Joy Hofmeister (now D) is getting an extra, conservative-flipping catchphrase for the over $306,000 her campaign has paid to three of Joe Biden’s national polling and political consulting firms.
Thus far during her current campaign, according to Oklahoma Ethics Commission (OEC) filings, Hofmeister has paid 4C Partners $130,672, Impact Research (formerly ALG Polling) $123,200, and Jones Mandel $52,725 to learn just what Oklahomans want to hear and to conjure up just the right wording to manipulate their voting. With the “faith, family, education and hard work” mantra of Hofmeister’s early campaign failing to convince voters, Biden’s spin-doctors have now settled on “partisan extremism” as the magic phrase capable of uncorking the genie bottle holding the state’s conservative voters.
Ironically, the candidate who teamed with the education unions to illegally coordinate a dark money attack campaign against her 2014 opponent for state superintendent is now positioning herself as the more reasonable, apolitical, non-extremist candidate for governor (See Season 2 and Season 3 for details). After just months ago claiming Kevin Stitt (R) had “hijacked the Republican party”, Hofmeister is claiming to have learned to “rise above the partisan extremism”.
The PAC Lady Hustles the New ‘Magic Words’ to Mailboxes through Mystery Group Imagine This Oklahoma
Under the thin cover of a PAC called Imagine This Oklahoma (see Season 6 for details) that was quickly created in late July of 2022 by Oklahoma’s PAC Lady, Danielle Ezell of Heartland Campaigns, Hofmeister is currently hitting mailboxes with a second such mailer touting her newly purchased catchphrase. Not surprisingly, Imagine This Oklahoma has still not filed required reporting with the OEC disclosing its donors to the voting public. It’s a safe bet that Ezell and Hofmeister will wait until after the election to lift the curtain on Imagine This Oklahoma’s mystery funder/s. Perhaps it’s the education unions? The Paycom CEO? Big cannabis? The tribes and the gaming industry? Hofmeister’s history makes them all likely suspects.
The true theme of this mailer is that Hofmeister, Ezell and the large team of Biden-helping swamp creatures behind every word clearly think voters in the heartland are simpletons to be easily swayed with untruths and deceptive generalities.
According to the mailer:
The candidate who was indicted on felony conspiracy charges for her dark money work and saved from prosecution by a political alliance with Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater (D) is now claiming she will “end cronyism and corruption” (see Season 3 for details).
The 8-year state superintendent of public instruction who took Oklahoma’s national public education rankings to the bottom is now going to “strengthen our public education system” (see Season 4 and Season 6 for details).
The only learning the voter might take away from this walk back from the mailbox is that Joy Hofmeister will say whatever they tell her to in the pursuit of power.
