This. Is. Horrific. Something is VERY wrong when, in a small community, a group of (alleged) individuals thinks/believes that they can not only SA another individual but then silence them AND get away with the crime. VILE. Can you even IMAGINE how the leaders involved in the (alleged) coverup would react to reading news like this were it purported to come from overseas? I can. And I guarantee you, none of these (alleged) individuals would be sparing with their damnation of the perpetrators. Give the young person who was assaulted a couple years of income from these administrators who are (allegedly) responsible for the coverup ...he'll need that much *just* to pay for the therapy. How can you, as a parent of a child so abused, ever breathe again? Much less as the parent of the (alleged) abuser?
Please continue your reporting. It is absolutely necessary to expose what tries to hide in the shadows. (Allegedly ๐ /s)
I'm glad Walters is on it, but does Gov. Stitt know about this? Lately, he's upset about the poor math and reading scores, and fired three members of the State school board because of this. I imagine he'd be totally outraged at the rapes and the coverups.
Tagged Governor Stitt with the article. Unfortunately, the three State Board of Ed members he tossed off the board were the strongest on keeping kids safe at school. Oklahoma has big problems.
What's insane is Texas passed a law in 2017 to specifically stop the passing of trash from district to district. It requires both the site principal and the superintendent to double report accusations of abuse or face a felony. In 7 years, not one prosecution and a list of thousands of times that law has been violated. Public ed is made of accountability Teflon.
It's bad all over. Texas schools are swimming in money, the root of evil, supposedly. One of the most clever and egregious tricks is Texas separates property taxes into two parts. One part is school taxes and the other part is for everything else. When property owners reach age 65 they may have their school taxes frozen. That way they can vote for any outlandish wasteful proposal the school boards put on the ballot without the worry of having to pay for it. And vote they do--nothing's too good for the grandkids, ya know.

Thank you for reading and sharing the content. Only widespread public pressure will force needed change in public education. It has to stop.
Lord have mercy. I posted the link to your article on the Thunderbird NextDoor site.
Thank you!
I hope no one in Sperry forgets this is STILL A TITLE IX Case!!!
Great point. Public schools have normalized investigating crimes under Title IX. These are not cases of discrimination.

It's happening in Texas too:
